FGS 21 The Global Series with a new format!

EA having announced its newly formatted Global Series; there are few things that we might be looking into. With countries like India, Bolivia and Costa Rica been added to the list, the competition in different regions is bound to spice up even more!

Now the FGS is going to have a new approach towards the FIFA eWorld Cup and pre-season events comprising of pro players, the game aficionados and creators along with real life footballers. The month of October will witness the pre-season events with the ultimate one on October 29, 2020, with teams of real footballers and FIFA pro players locking horns against each other.

The prime battle will begin in the month of November with FUT verified achievers from Europe, NA, SA, Asia and Oceania to provide chances for the players to compete across multiple tournaments to ultimately qualify for the coveted eWorld Cup.

In the regions like Europe and the Americas (North and South), the FIFA 21 Global Series will be played across both PS4 and Xbox One. For the rest of the regions like Asia (East & West), Oceania and South Africa it will be only played on PS4. Anyone can register for the open qualifiers on the official website of FIFA 21 Global Series till December 31, 2020. According to the information received, all the qualifiers are going to be a  double-elimination affair.

The European and the American regions will have 5 qualifiers each, whereas Asia (East & West), Oceania and South Africa will have 3 qualifiers respectively. In spite of belonging to the West Asia region, South Africa will be having their individual qualifier due to its distant location.

With a $3 million prize pool spread across all the events including the Fifa 21eWorld Cup, there is everything you can go for! However the dates are yet to be announced, but we can assume it to be happening in the month of August 2021 following the past trend.
